Hello from Kent

hello all,
just thought i'd introduce myself as i''m new here
my name is Josh and I'm 21 years old, I've been around landies all my life thanks to my dad but only recently have been able to own my own one, I've got a 1995 Land rover discovery 300tdi, all in all its really not a bad old girl, but very soon I'll be making a restoration\welding thread to her as shes not perfect. This will be my first land rover restoration and my welding skills are pretty non existant, but that is all going to change and I'm sure thats going to be a steep learning curve! well anyways, hello to all

Welcome Josh. With regards to welding, I got some scrap metal bits from a local car breakers (door etc) so tha I coul practice on both thick and thin materials before doing it 'for real'. Thin stuff I found much more difficult as you have to be careful not to apply too much power and blow holes in it.
