i have just bought my first ever landy, i wanted a disco for years and finally found one, she is charcoal grey es 300 tdi disco 1 and i am completley in love with her, i will seek counseling!
she has just the right amount of rust to keep her together and enough electrical quirks to keep her unpredictable ( and me interested)
in short she is lovely, bought cheap as she had a dodgy injection pump which turned out to be a timing issue after the 'specialists' replaced timing belt.
so far i have:
had fuel system in bits
replaced lift pump (failed)
installed electric pump to do away with lift pump
timed fuel pump
replaced fuel lines
serviced engine and brakes
blanked egr off
drove her
