I am a brand new 2002 Freelander owner in Northern British Columbia Canada. It was a somewhat accidental acquisition but I am excited about it nonetheless. My husband and I own an auto towing company and a wrecked 2002 Freelander came in- Front end and frame damage, but the 2.5l V6 is in great shape. Last night we found another 2002 in great shape but the timing belt went and now the engine needs a rebuild. We were able to pick it up at a great price! So now we will spend the rest of the summer swapping the good engine into the good body and hopefully have fun with it come fall!
I am open to any and all tips and tricks and things to as we complete the swap. I am also looking for a shop manual that includes the 2.5L V6 engine. The ones I have found don't include it.
