Remove outer covering, grasp blub firmly (but not too firmly....very important that) between fingertips and give it a wiggle. You may find it'll light up

LOL, mine stopped working just after I arranged the trip.
I checked the bulb and the fuse. Turned out the wire had unplugged itself somewhere near the gearbox/transfer box
