I thought I should pop here to say hello to everyone. Every now and then I have stopped by to read some threads and posts to find more about Defenders. Finally about a year ago i got my hands on a 1976 SIII project. Fell in love with it the second it came about. Last summer i took things ahead a bit and got myself a 2002 Td5 110 Defender. :)
So, here am I, to learn some more about these fantastic vehicles. :)
Also,
I´d like to thank everyone who has contributed to these conversations here, and provided much needed help to other fellow Land Rover owners. Thank you!

Cheers!

Thanks!
Yes, I do. I´m hopin to get it running during the winter. The clutch needs some adjusting and the brakes seem to be stuck. Other than that it needs just some small bits and pieces here and there. Someone had fixed the frame already when it came to me. So no rust work for me! :)
I have pretty much everything I need for it now. I was happy to notice that you can get just about everything for it for a reasonable price from the UK.
It´s not going to be a restoration though. More like a big (HUGE) service I think. It´s a lovely little landy. I think that the dents on the sides and the moss on the bonnet are just a part of its funny appearance.
:)

Yes, mine looks pretty rustic too, I have moss growing in the window channels. When buying parts, watch out for any made by Britpart. Some of their stuff isn't very good quality so don't get any of their bits for the brakes or any other safety critical area.

Same here! My window channels look like they would be some micro greenhouses!
So I have heard about Britparts.
A shame that is. All Britparts i have is the three new front seats. They seem to be quite OK. The "fabric" seems a bit thin but looks good never the less. Maybe i have Britparts as some random interior parts too. When it comes to engine or brake stuff, I would'nt trust Britparts. i have heard too much bad things about them.
Thanks for the tip anyway!
:)
