I am just posting to say hello to the forum, as the 'sticky' suggests. I have just bought a nice 1987 Land Rover 90, V8 County Station Wagon, so will no doubt be on here often, looking for advise.
I am not new to Land Rovers, while I was at uni nearly 10 years ago I had a Series IIa from 1963, but I only had this a year or so due to bad chassis. This was a 2.25 diesel, with cab and canvas back, so a little different to my new V8, but was an excellent vehicle for learning some basic mechanics on, and experiencing the joy of owning a Land Rover.
I will start looking through the various threads for points I should be aware of for my new car, and hopefully learning what parts I can tune / service / repair myself and will probably be speaking with you all soon....
