Hey,
I'm new to the forum, I've (my Wife) has a 1980 series III in daily use. I currently have a new Discovery.
It may be controversial on this site but they are totally different animals but both fantastic at what they do.
On one I love to get my hands dirty and do all the work, any imperfections are mere idiosyncrasies. The Disco has all the same off road capabilities and much more, but on the road capabilities as described by my wife was like "Riding on a firm Marshmallow!". Say what you will I would not like to give up either of them!
My Problem, the rear window on the cat flap over last year has gone opaque. (poor replacement material in the past?) I've looked for a replacement window on line but cannot anything outside of a second hand whole cat flap and that is silly.
If they are not available, I plan on using the cloudy one as a template, but does anyone done this or know best type of plastic to use? I assume they are not glass for safety reasons, as a without a gas strut they might fall off the prop on your noggin!
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Cheers!
