My name is Colin, I am a Brit, living in Cyprus I love computers and Automotive technology and I am a very big Land Rover Fan.
I have owned a Freelander 1.8 and a Disco II TD5 from new and have had few P38's.
I have still got 2 P38's, one in bits and another on the road (Mostly
)
although it does not get much use, as i also have a Disco 3 TDV6 which i have seriously upgraded from being about the lowliest spec you can get to be about the highest with all OEM stuff. Got some amazing pictures of the conversions like this one where i was changing out the main cabin loom
Currently fiddling around with fitting a D4 steering wheel and CAR PC to that now.
I also have an 4.4 V8 L322 Range Rover that's currently off the road waiting for some Air springs. Never ends does it !!!
One of the reasons i own and have owned so many Land Rovers though, is not so much that LR's are my passion, but they are also my Profession.
And although i am not here in a professional capacity, or at least not without properly sorting the commercial aspects first, i feel i must quite rightly and openly declare my professional interests and activities so as to avoid any possible mis understandings.
Some of you may have already guessed, with the big clue being in my chosen User Name and possibly the Cyprus location. If not, i should tell you that BBS is short for BlackBox Solutions, which is the name behind the well known ROVACOM and FAULTMATE diagnostic systems, and indeed for better or worse, I am the Guy who owns and runs it all. Hence BBS Guy
Well we all have to do something for a living and combining my love of computers automotive technology and Land Rovers seemed sensible to me.
This does mean that I know quite a bit about Landy's especially related to their electronic technology and of course i know a fair bit about diagnostics too.
As i already do on quite a few Forums around the world, well what better at the end of the day than to kick back go on the web and chat about your favorite subjects, i hope to be able to contribute my input, help out where i can and share my bit of knowledge.
In any event thats me introduced, and i can but hope that you will be as happy to have me as i will be to meet you all.
