Hello All!!!!

Hello everyone? Hopefully 2012 finds you all well.

I'm new on here and hopefully in the next 2 days I will own my very own Discovery 2.

I'm looking forward to getting my hands on it, fingers crossed. Living in Belfast means I will have to fly over to collect and drive it back.

I have a feeling I will be calling on your collective expertise from time to time while I get acquainted with my new toy!!

I hope to take a few photos of the Discovery when I get it and then every few months as and when I make improvements.

Hello everyone.
I picked up the beast on Saturday evening in Shrewsbury and I drove it back over to Belfast, getting off the ferry this morning at 0630hrs. I still haven't got rid of the smile off my face!!!! My big black beast is sitting outside and I can't stop looking at it. I even had a set of spare wheels thrown in!!!!

I will get some photos on here as soon as I can. The weather hasn't been the best for taking photos but hopefully it will pick up just loong enough to get the camera out.

I want to give it a good service and get some new tyres on the spare set of wheels that I have. It also needs a new driver's side mirror, passenger side headlight washer and gaiters for the sticks but other than that appears in remarkably good condition.

It is a 2001 GS Td5, manual in black with the A bar and spots on the front.

It was previously owned by a fencing contractor who used it for work and to say it needed a valet was an understatement!!! It was getting valetted and cleaned for 5 hours on Sunday and I am still in the process of drying it out properly. But now it is spotless inside.

Apart from tyres on the spare wheels and the few parts I have already mentioned I would like to have the air suspension changed to springs, maybe a 2in lift and maybe even the facelift headlights.

Other than that I am over the moon with my new aquisition.

I will try to get some photos of the tank on here soon.

Love it! Me too, Ive had my 03 td5 for 3 months now and I still look out the window at it in awe. It's beautiful! Congratulations and can't wait to see your pics!
