Hi all,
So with a MOT due next month and a leaking steering box I ordered a replacement recon box from Paddocks. Fitted this yesterday, new seals on the feed and return pipes, replaced fluid and bled it as per instructions.
It now seems to be particularly heavy to steer and there is very little self centering effect.
I suppose Im asking is there something Ive done wrong or is it possible that the recon box needs adjusted?, If so I guess this is best left to a specialist.
Also wondering is it possible that the power steering pump could be defective, seems unusual if it was working fine before. Is there an easy way to test this?
Any assistance appreciated.
