Heavy! rattle when slowing down

Hi all

seem to be having a problem with my defender 90

i gto my 90 on the road and all seem fine, she was running quite niceley so i decided to take her for a muddy drive. after a few days of looking for mud and taking a few good laps round some fields ans sand dunes she still run perfectly fine... up untill 3 days ago. when ever i slow down or even if im driving slow she will start to vibrate, then it will start to turn into a heavy shake. it gets that bad that you can actualy see the thing shaking like mad and before you know it you shaking along with it in your seat. when taking off its perfectly fine, its when i slow down or cost on slowly.

at first i thaught it might by my clutch but even when i have the clutch pedal all the way down it still seems to do the same thing. after that i decided to put it in nutral while it was slowing down but still it rattled my bones.

im hoping someone has had this unfortunat problem in the past so i can at least know where to start looking at how to solve the problem.

most likely cause by your statement, engine or gearbox mnt, but it could also be your prop shafts coming loose, or uj knackerd, it could be no end of things, the best way forward is eliminate all the things it could be by checking each item.
