hi all i cant get my heater to work ive had the dash semi out today but its a mine field of cabels. amd i missing somthing??

its cold

No idea mate, can't see. Have you checked anything other than behind the dash? There is a lot of posts about heaters being **** on here. Seems it can be anything from the usual slugs and sludge floating about in the coolant, viscous fans running all the time and cooling the block etc, shagged thermostats...On the other hand, is it not blowing out air, like the fan is full of **** or just burnt out. I had a merc that had a virtual birds nest in the heater fan!

Diesel or V8? 200, 300, II?

Well, thanks for clearing that bit up. Safe to asume that you've checked fuses as you've tackled the dash! In the past, I've encountered among other issues... Dust getting into the switch and causing it to fail. By spraying the working bits of the switch with contact cleaner or something like WD40 can clean it up enough to work again. Try this first as a cheap and simple elimination.

ive looked in the hanes manual for the cables colors as there are about 5 cables going to the motor but there differant colors to what is in the manual.
when its swiched on you can hear a click i think thats the resinator
