I'd pull the pollen filter out and check it. Mine (see my post) was full of leaves and the heater was pathetic. New filter and its now working properly.

After that check the two pipes under the bonnet that disappear into the bulkhead (heater matrix feed and return) They should be roughly the same temperature. If not check that the heater temperature control cable is actually fully opening (hot).

.

i have the same problem, however i do get warm air coming though footwells and for the windscreen demister but not through the main vents, and even thats luke warm.

was told thermostat could be problem.

After checking everything that has been already mentioned, but before you start thinking about a new thermostat (which could well be the problem) could I suggest that with the heating set to maximum, and the engine running at idle, you bleed the cooling/heating system.

Health & Safety warning - Do it as soon as you start the engine in a morning - i.e. with a cold engine to avoid hot water scalds.

You may need to do it a few times to be sure there are no air-locks.
