Bit like trying to paper your hallway through the letter box then. :D:D:D

Should be ok not sure how it is fixed in everything I have seen has been on a lhd any way we shall see - took a while to trace the cooling prob but it is def some sort of flow restriction in the heater matrix should keep me busy for a few hours

Do an internet search - can't remember where but there was a very good walkthrough of how to get it out without taking the dash out...all it menat was to cut a plastic support for part of the trim out...then replacing that with a strip of metal to re-support what was cut out!

I managed it on my P38 without taking the dash out, basics are to remove the side duct as you would for the o rings, then remove the two bolts that hold the dash shell to the body, I also removed the plastic end panel off the dash.

With all that done I found I could pull the dash shell enough to get the matrix out.

Gents thanks for your help being a wimp I have decided to do it over easter as it might be a degree warmer in the meantime having some fun trying to work out what the cooling system is doing I think it loses coolant under pressure which puts an air lock in the heater matrix - my lpg system is teed of on the engine side of bulkhead - which makes the pump useless giving a non working rad which allows a bit of temp increase if I by pass the heater all works fine so not sure will know next weekend - will keep all informed

Jamie which two bolts are you referring to the ones outside under the scuttle or are these inside ?

Sandy see you have got it done, but for everyone else's benefit the two bolts inside in the drivers side footwell that hold the dash frame.
