Good afternoon all.

I need your support regarding my freelander sw Td4, Y2003. Sorry for mi English mistakes

After having replaced the 4 fuel injector, I have the problem that the engine has difficult to switch on when is cold ( around 8/10 second of starting motor running).
After this time, I have a small white fog, but the engine starts regularly.

If I make a short break, and the engine doesn’t cool down, I have no problem to restart on, it take just a bit, almost perfect.

I’ve noted that the heater glow indicator doesn’t switch on when I turn the key, and the doubt now is that probably I’ve never seen it on.
I’ve tried to disconnect this sensor ( ECT sensor if I’m not wrong), the result is that the cooling fan start to run and the heather glow indicator switch on, for around 10 second.

So I thought that my start up problem was linked to this sensor, I’ve ordered and installed a new one, original parts from LD Italy.

Unfortunately, nothing has changed.

Please help me, what shall I try now?

even now in the slightly cooler weather, I still don't see the glow plug warning come on.In the depths of winter, it invariably is on or less than a second, the td4 warms to ignition pretty quickly.

would be looking towards a leaky injector perhaps

SUPERB !!!

After your suggestion about a possible injector leakage, i've dismounted and mounted again the injectors and realized that one spacer was missed :doh::doh:( that's bad if you're a Lancia dealer).:doh::doh:

After having re-installed them, my freelander switch on in a quarter of second:):):)

Thanks a lot...
