Got a freelander 2 td4 2007 model. The blower heater is playing up and i am now confused.
1. First the heater only worked on the high speeds.
2. Then stopped working.
3. I tried shorting the circuit, meaning disconnecting the connect to the resistor and connecting the two big wires. That worked for a bit and stopped.
4. Bought a used resistor. After fitting it the blower was on permanently even when i remove the key. But when i tested the pin 1, 2 ,3 and 4 . Pins 1 to 2 and 1 to 3 the resistance just kept going up and pins 1 to 4 is OL meaning open circuit or no resistance.
5. Bought a new resistor from ebay from a seller. He said it was new brand is BEHR. Tested it pins 1 to 2 and 1 to 3 looked ok but 1 to 4 still reads OL open circuit. This worked for about 3 weeks and now stopped working.
6. Does anyone have the collect resistance of the pins ? What is the resistance of pin 1to 2, 1 to 3 and 1 to 4? Please.
7. Can anyone share any ideas as to what they think i should do please?
