hi all, i have a slight probolem with the heater in my 1992 classic range rover! it sometimes works and sometimes dosent! i have fitted a heater box from a 200tdi disco 1, but people have told me that it wont work on all 3 settings as they are different to the classic ones due to the coil, so iv been told! i cant find an awnser on previos threads so sorry for the new thread! i will look at relays and the fuse is fine, but does anyone else have anymore suggestions? is it a whole rewire jobby or is it just a coil replacement maby? thanks all. tom.

Just stripped the one in my '93 vogue. All the blower controls are self contained on the blower/heater assembly, with just a 12v feed to it.
Would be worth looking at how many feed there are into your replacement unit, if there are only 2 wires then, as already stated, you might have an issue with the resistor.
If there are more than 2 wires then part of the control system would have been housed on the original land rover, and you'll need to find a way to replicate this.

okay cool, well i will get a resistor at some point but i now have issues with the speedo being lazy and jumping around! but thank you very much for your help! much appreciated!will probably be a post on here soon with help, speedo issues! lol! good old rangies! marmite! cheers guys!
