Hey all,

After almost 4 years without a Land Rover, I finally managed to get myself a Defender 110 Td5 back in August :).

So far so good, however the heated front screen has decided to pack up just when it'd be really handy to use!!

Fuse seams ok but replaced anyway, I can feel the relay clicking on and off (does that always mean the relay is ok?) and pulled apart and cleaned the contacts going up to either side of the windscreen - but still no joy:doh:!

I'm not brilliant with electrics but would be really grateful to hear if anyone has had any simular problems with their screens/common problems?

thanks :)

Cheers - I'm gonna pop over to my brothers today and hopefully borrow his multimeter (and get him to show me how to use it!!)

Guess it makes sense to work back from the screen to find out where power stops?!!

as a thought on another make of vehicle, I found the tags there but age had cracked the join to the element, I bought conductive paint and blobbed both terminals=fix
