Hello, my FL1 had heated seats but only one side works. Switch for drivers side lights up and seat gets warm, but for passenger side the light doesn't light up.

Any thoughts on what to check? Looking at the circuit diagram, both seats run off the same fuse so guess not the fuse. There's a heater relay which could have failed? Would this be under the seat? Also a temperature sensor but if this has failed the switch light would still come on wouldn't it?

I can't remember if the tell-tale light is wired off the relay, or before the relay, but the relay is what actually sends power to the heaters.

Sorry meant to follow up the image above. Looks like the power goes directly through the switch to the relays. If the heater elements or temp sensor fails I don't think it would stop the indicator light working on the switch.

Looks like the sunroof relay is also in circuit. Do they switch off when sunroof open ?? Is there a fault there? Do you have power to and from switches ??

The full heated seat current appears to pass through the switch. The relay purely responds to the thermostat and is actually mounted on the seat base.

I did see the sunroof note but I've got the split targa sunroof style which is manual / no electrics, so presume it's irrelevant for me.

Have checked the fuse box and definitely only a single fuse for the seats, guess it's not that powerful - they don't get super hot like a modern car to be fair. Would upload pics but this forum doesn't like the new .heic image formats :(

Could we add functionality to upload the new image format files to this forum? The file extension is .heic

Most new phones (android and apple) are defaulting to this now as they have a lot of space and I have to convert them to jpg before uploading which is a pita.

Haha I already started that conversation in the above Fred lol 🤣

Heic is apples answer to phones running out of storage.
Web servers can't deal with these images yet without modification and even then it's not reliable

No problem with storage on my Samsung Note with a 512 Gb SD card in it. I don't get the I phone bug myself, I want a phone that does what I want, not what the manufacturer says I can do with it. Its like having a car that the manufacturer says you can only drive to where they say, which is pointless.

All my kids have iPhones, I can never understand why, then there surprised by the things I can do with my Samsung (or other android phones I've had)

I have the same experience with my sisters. They have I Phones, then seem surprised at the quality of the pictures my Note takes, or the apps I have available, and I don't have to pay anything to Samsung once I've bought the phone.
