Just got a couple of pads to go in the fender, and sorting out wiring them in.

My side is fine, cos if I leave it on, it will be obvious when I get a warm bum...
Passenger side, is the wife, and I guarantee she will leave it on... and ill never notice till me sarnies are warm :(

So, looking at 2 options, either a timed relay, ie press the button on the dash, the seat comes on for X amount of time or a latching relay, press to turn on, prolly a second button to turn off (a on-off-on mom switch would do this nicely) when the ignition is off, it turns off until you turn it on with the switch again.
the second would be good, but not yet found a latching relay suitable at a sensible price, and ideas/part numbers??

sounds like your making life complicated. just use a relay and hook it up to a permanent live and a switched - ie. ignition - live. I used the air-con harness on my 90, already there in the fusebox. simples
