Hi, i repaired my broken tailgate regulator cables with an e-bay kit a while ago - but now i'm noticing the tailgate windows does not seem to heat up when the rear window heat button is pressed.

I checked the fues in drivers side fuse box, thats fine. The light on the windows heater control goes on and does turn off automatically. Despite this the glass is really cold and i dont feel any heat when i put my hand on it like i do from my wing mirrors.

Any ideas where the fault could be? If the system was malfunctioning, would the light on the button still come one? Checked Rave, but did not seem to find much about it.

Presumably when it gets misty, it doesn't clear when you put the heat on? Just checkin! Dunno how warm it'd be to the touch.

Had ice on this morning, and seemed to drop off when the car was warm inside (ie due to heater blowing) rather than the usual of seeing the de-mist lines appear on the rear glass from where the heat spreads from the heating wire (if you know what i mean).

ok found it - checked the connectors to the glass element in the tailgate before i left work - the fault was there.

One of the wires was almost off and the connector was corroded :) - so on first inspection it all looked ok.

thanks for all the tips anyway.
