Headlining.. Hard to change or not?

Some Landy owners have taken them out & removed the saggy material.Scraped all the old glue off and just painted it. Looks fine to me. Google it .

I tried to use contact adhesive on a saggy bit on mine the other day.

For now, my D2 is a family car and I'd like to keep a cloth headlining. I noticed the other day that (a) I got a few drops of water on my shoulder when I pulled the seatbelt on and (b) the headlining above the drivers seat is sagging a bit. This was after torrential rain and really was only a few drops so I assume I don't have a huge problem yet but these things only get worse and will have to be dealt with.
I've pretty much decided that I'll never sell this one. Once she's not the family car any more she'll turn into a toy with big wheels, steel bumpers etc etc. Once she's in that phase of her life any saggy lining will just get pulled out and not replaced.

A few drops found their way through ... it maybe there is more sloshing around looking for a way out .... it's easier to take it out, sort any leaks and repairs ...
many re-cover their headlining ... if your not confident with that ask around a caravan repairers, they maybe able to help ...

Could do with taking mine down to see where the leaks are cos water is still p1$$ing in. Lining is not too bad.

Why you have it out, you may want to check the sun roof drains, and frame to roof seal if you have the dam things

i did it in and out in an hour in total, but in between sealed the roofbars and the front and rear sunroof,but left it over night to set before putting it back in, you get condensation if no headling and car would be colder!

About the same for me, I took my time taking it out making sure I didn't break anything. Going back seemed much easier and quicker. I put the rear seats down flat and reclined the fronts as far as they would go after sliding forward. This gave me plenty of room to work in and manoeuvre it into position.

Of course I spoke too soon.
The 'few drops' on the driver's side has been joined by quite a lot on the passenger side that look to be coming from the corner of the front sun roof.
