Good evening all, i have an 03 l322 td6 vogue auto which i am currently ironing the creases out of. I have had many D2s but plummed for the current mode of pocket emptying. I have a problem of no live feed to the motor for the headlamp washers, after having put a new pump on thinking that was the cause. Fuse is fine and i have proved the washers work if you swap the plugs over on the other pumps. Has anyone any ideas why there is no live feed, maybe a fuse i have missed or a relay? I am considering taking feeds off the windscreen pump so they wash simultaneously instead of every 3rd or 5th cycle.

Thanks in advance

Jettaman

That's me done then. I did have problems with mine when I got it but that was because some tit had mixed the plugs up on the pumps so my rear wiper only worked with the lights on and every third go

Its got to be something simple, just hope its not behind the battery, had a new one and squeezed an 020 in. Ill keep plugging away.

This is from the manual

Headlamp Wipers and Washers
The headlamp wipers and washers are only active when the headlamps are switched on and the ignition is on. The
wipers and washers are controlled by the BCU which limits their operation to preserve washer fluid in the reservoir.
With the ignition and lights on, headlamp wash/wipe is activated on the first operation of the wiper column control
switch in the wash/wipe position. The BCU then suspends headlamp wash/wipe activation for the next four operations
of the wash/wipe switch, with the headlamp wipers and washer activated on the fifth operation of the switch.
The BCU monitors the operation of the wash/wipe switch and maintains a counter to restrict headlamp wiper and
washer operation to every fifth operation of the wash/wipe switch. The BCU also maintains a timer which prevents a
second operation of the headlamp wipers and washers within a 3 minute period. The counter and timer are reset when
the ignition is switched off.
When headlamp wash/wipe is active, the BCU energises the washer pump twice per cycle. The headlamp washer
pump is powered for a 0.5 second period, 300 ms before the wiper motor starts. The BCU then initiates a 2 second
delay before powering the headlamp washer pump for a second 0.5 second period.
If the washer reservoir fluid level becomes low, the LCM, which monitors the fluid level, sends a message, via the I
bus, instrument pack and K bus, to the BCU which suspends headlamp wash/wipe operation to preserve the
remaining washer fluid.

Only 3 days ! Take me a week that would, first time went out with wipers on when got the l322 pulled up at a junction and wipers stopped thought what the !!!!!!! but of course they go on to intermittent dont they, freaked me out a bit that first time.
This is why people should familiarise themselves with their vehicle before driving it. Sometimes even reading the driver's handbook ;)
Do those of us who have been here a while remember the guy who had to ask how to open the glove compartment? tenor (1).gif

I've almost finished reading volume 3 of the handbook, one day I will have read it all :D

I struggled opening my glovebox when I first got it till I realised some arsehole had glued it shut cos the mechanism had been removed.

Being glued is a reasonable excuse  The guy I'm talking about couldn't find the button!

Addit: Actually it wasn't he couldn't find, he couldn't recognise

There seems to be a book for everything :D
I'm struggling to work out if you're taking the p :oops: My handbook is quite thick but it's just one book.
Please help me, are you taking the p? Are you? Like, really, like, really really, are you? Help an old woman out. I am about to cry. Is you taking the p?

Ahhh ok. Yes I've got those, but the one at the front, the handbook, which I'm referring to, covers the basics. Even how to open the glove compartment :D

As does my usual method: sit in the vehicle and go through each gadget. :D

Changing the subject completely : Anyone else feel their eyebrow raising when the ' homedics massage gun' advert comes on?
