Headlight problem driving me insane!

Hi guys, this is my first post on this forum so be gentle!

I have an 1988 90, and I have suddenly developed a fault with the headlights.

I have updated the front bulbs to a halogen kit from eBay and all was working fine.

Yesterday I noticed my back lights had stopped working, the brake lights are fine tho. On further investigation I now find the front lamps to come on on the driver side only, until you switch to full beam when I only get the passenger side headlight on!

Any suggestions ???

Sounds like an earth or lighting switch fault. I'd check the fuses first, then check the earth connections for the headlights, then finally check that the headlight switch hasn't gone fart with all the lovely new lighting power.

Yes

Go and read the read the before posting bit and Introduce yer self

then check yer fuses

As said, check the fuses. Also check fuse mounts. Give them a rub with some emery cloth and make sure there is a good connection between fuse and mount. Failing that check your earths.

Then check your wiring .. and earth points.
