Headlamp washers

Has anyone had any experience with Headlamp washers? Mine Dunna Wanna Work! The pump is ok, tried and tested, and water comes out and everything. But they dont work when they should on the switch. Any Ideas, or is it really not worth the bother?

Are you trying the normal windscreen washer switch when the headlights are turned on? i.e. Not on sidelights.

Yup. Its a TD5 as well if that makes any difference. Had my mechanic check the pump out when he was doing a sevice for me, so we know that works, he hadnt got time to investigate any further, so if there are any pointers out there, they would be most appreciated!

Sure you've thought of this, but with the TD5 the washers only operate on every third use of the windscreen washers (with the headlights on). If you switch off the headlights, the counter 'resets' itself.

Errr no. Am I not gettin my point accross! No worky, kaput, no water, dim dwr (if youre welsh) Pa'd l'eau (if french). Nowt happens ever!
Now then..... Any suggestions whats wrong?

i reckon you have got a loose connecter or a faulty wire between the switch and the pump
