Well mine went on dy disco 2 td5 ,done 4000 now and still going strong + i do some heavy towing. I soppose it depends on how much damage was done when overheating too. The way i see it they have been scimming heads on landys for ages, if it goes the second time then unlucky. Landrover say that their heads cant be scimmed it wont work, i have read that lots of people have proved them wrong, and their still doing it. oh yeah i paid 600 quid to have mine done that was all in. good luck and let us know how you get on.
hi, when you get the head off, have it pressure tested, if thats ok you can then have it skimmed,i had mine done about 6k miles ago and its been good since, pressure test costs around £30 so not really worth putting the car back together without knowing if the head is ok.
