Hey,

54 plate L32 Vogue. Head unit gave up today. First of all CD Radio TV and Phone functions went down and now the full thing wont work.

Just shows the Land Rover badge on the screen, can press everything and nothing works. Light flashes on the On/Off button. Nothing else

Any ideas??

More than likely.....

Also the Splash Screen I believe is delivered via the Nav/GPS drive unit....

Remove the NAV unit (make sure the little red light on the front s off first) and open it up, could be a little bit of moisture in there...

The most common issue is the rear quarter where the electronics bay is leaks,....

Check your sun roof drains, roof rack mounts and the rear quarter window seal.

The official response from LR was to install a plastic bag over the units to stop being dripped on, but as Datatek has noted, this doesn't stop condesation from below!!

Check for dampness/moisture in the rear Left corner....and do a search on here, a very recent post by Paul and Datatek indicate the severity of the issue!!
 
Check all the boxes in the LH rear quarter. almost certainly they will be wet and the connectors will have corrosion. Pins may have corroded off and a film of corrosion between the pins leads to signals shorting out. If you are lucky, drying and cleaning may fix it, but don't count on it.
