Morning all
In November I was a complete numpty, I drove home (42 miles) with no fan belt on my N/A.
I boiled the engine dry of water, destroyed my head gasket. I changed the gaskets and put it all back together again only to loose all my coolant out of the exhaust when I tried to start the motor back up. So off came the head again to discover I'd made some very impressive cracks in my cylinder head.

I got a replacement head from a mate last week, had it cleaned and found out today that it needs too much of a skim.
Picked up ANOTHER head today (minus 2 hotspots) so 3rd time lucky.
I've also bought:
1 x head gasket
1 x exhaust/inlet gasket
1 x rocker cover gasket
8 x valve stem seals
2 x hot spots
4 x joint washers
4 x sealing washers
1 x oil filter

Word of advice to other stoopid people........

Never drive without your water pump!!:D

If it still ain't going by then I'm burning the piggin thing!! I need the room on the drive for the conservatry blokes at the end of this month.

My head gasket blu up destroying turbo and intercooler total nite mare! New engine and a few months later all sorted and bak on the road!

Weather permitting it's all going back together on Sunday, can't bleedin' wait!!

Then I have a lovely MOT to get done. Grrrrrr

As long as SWMBO's purse strings are flexible enough to get me a new back box for my exhaust and get my MOT done.

Hmmm. Am sure you can pikey a back box from somewhere.... An then you cun just stick it on wi 'No-Nails'.. Job jobbed!;)

All back together and working perfectly!!

I'm getting alot of smoke from the exhaust still but as all the work was done with the motor pointing downhill I couldn't get all the water out of the sump.

Probably just need to wait til it's all burnt off.

Well chuffed though
