Are Land Rovers built to last one hundred thousand miles? My Discovery needed a head gasket at 102,000 having never been off road in its short life, and now my Range Rover, at 103,000 miles needs one as well. I had the dealership do the Discovery, but their casual estimate of $5,000. to repair the Range Rover was rather maddening. That did include tax, I should point out, but didn't include whatever else they might find when they were in there. Anyway, I have tackled the job myself, and find that I am so close to completing the disassembly but for one troubling little hiccup. I don't see any good way to disconnect the fuel line where it runs to the intake manifold. ANy suggestions, anyone? This is a 2001 Range Rover.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hello, welcome to the forum.

Yes, most of them will all do over 100k miles if looked after even remotely carefully.

I have no idea about the fuel line, but you might find an answer if you run a search in the Range Rover specific forum, if not ask in there, odds are they will know :)
