Hello all,
As I am still fairly new to the modern gizmos of the L322, I've yet to learn what works best in different conditions and I feel it's important I get this question I have in my head answered soonest before the winter gets here (pretty late this year ehh?). In my disco 1, obviously there is no HDC, or ABS, or any other abbreviations in my model for that matter! Usually if driving down an icy slope, just stick it in low box, 1st gear and let it trundle down the slope with your feet on the dash so as to not be tempted to stamp on the brake!! So, my immediate thought would be that HDC is not for icy slopes, probably good in deep snow etc, but due to the HDC being very much a braking aid not a good tool on the ice... Would my theory be correct, or is it more cleverererer than I thought? I'm sure someone on here's had an "experience" with ice they can share ;):p
Ollie
