I recently purchased a 1987 defender 90 and of course my hazards and indicators go out within the first 100 miles of having it. I pulled off the trim piece and the switch and found the connector shorted. Anyone have a part number or know where I can find a replacement? I have a new switch on order already but any info would be valued greatly!

That connector block looks odd, like someone has put a jumper wire across two of the terminals for some reason. Plus one for Land Rover connectors, ring em if you can not find what you want on site.

By jumpering across pins 5 and 8 like that, they've by-passed the hazard switch's internal circuit that powers the indicator flasher relay, when the ignition is on and the hazard switch is off.

That would suggest that the hazard switch is faulty.
