hi, generally over on the discovery side as i have a td5. today i helped a friend change a solenoid in his td4 auto gearbox due to harsh gear change. unfortunately, no difference after the change. we noted there were 7 solenoids in total in the gearbox. the one we changed cost £44. if we change them all it will be expensive.
as i have a hawkeye for my td5, i suggested i buy the neccessary code so that it can be used on his td4 as well. my question is can the hawkeye be used to check the solenoids in the gearbox. alternatively, anybody out there with a hawkeye for the td4 around the bromley, kent area who would be willing to help.
ta, steve.

This thread will show you whats available: http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f9/any-hawkeye-owners-wiff-auto-gearbox-freelander-1-a-156694.html

Hawkeye doesn't give the correct info for the Freelander 1 jatco. Real shame. You can do a resistance check to check the solenoids/sensors.

Edit: a lot of problems we had previously with data displayed on the hawkeye have been resolved with software updates from the manufacturer, and some extra features anorl.
