I purchased a Hawkeye Total about 18 months ago. I have tried to get dongle's to work on my Range Rover P38 and found out they are no longer available after I emailed Bearmach they informed me they are no longer available and will never be made. In the end I built my own adaptor box which works on the 5 dongle's which are needed to work on all Land Rover models upto 2012. I am looking to manufacture the individual dongles after I have checked with the manufacturer if I can produce them.

I also bought a Hawkeye Total earlier this year, direct from Bearmach, ordering the blue (air suspension) and grey (airbags) dongles for P38's as they were not in stock. The diagnostic machine arrived promptly but three weeks later the dongles were still not available. Bearmach, to their credit, offered a full refund for the Hawkeye Total if I wished to return it. They also informed me that the company that manufactured the machines and dongles had been bought by another company and no more Hawkeye products would be manufactured, also that the purchaser had refused to supply any information for the dongles to be made elsewhere. Having decided to keep the machine I am looking to rewire a couple of OBD2 extender sockets as blue and grey dongles so any information would be appreciated.

You would be better getting a refund and then buy a Nanocom from blackbox solutions they are the best for a p38.

The cost of a Nanocom is beyond my limited funds. I have a 2000 2.5 DSE (owned for the past 12 years), a 2000 4.6 Vogue LPG conversion project and a 1997 4.6 Autobiography long term project.
As a former mechanic I can deal with most P38 problems. Hawkeye Total is fine for most things but the addition of an air suspension dongle would be useful. E.A.S. unlock is fine but means carting a laptop around whereas the Hawkeye and dongle will go in the glovebox. If I had the money to spare, from my pension, for a Nanocom that would provide diagnostics for all three vehicles I would have bought one! Advice to buy a Nanocom is neither practical nor helpful.
If any members have any of the Hawkeye dongles and could provide details of the pins in to pins out connections either by checking with a multimeter or by opening up their dongle it would be most appreciated.
I am sure that there are other Hawkeye owners who may currently have a use for dongles, possibly because the have bought a newer model. Constructive information gratefully received.
