Hi guys anybody got any views good or bad on the hawkeye diagnostic tool by bearmach, is it worth buying or can anybody suggest a better alternative in the price range bearing in mind bearmach are selling them for £200 + vat as a christmas special, i know there is only one unlock code included which is a bit tight but still if it is as good as they claim maybe now is the time to buy !

I have one for a p38 it has payed for itself over just for the EAS, from time to time they up date it for free just had mine done just put it in the post and they sent it back. Very pleased with it

Don't think there is much between them now (Hawkeye and Nanocom) as the updates on Hawkeye seem to have caught up.

Hawkeye is not locked to a specific VIN number and neither is Nanocom

You can do the EAS with a £12.50 cable and free software, last time I looked, Hawkeye would not do suspension height calibration on the P38 unlike the free software.

cheers guy for all the replies, most helpful, probably get one soon as bearmach have a crimbo special on at mo, thanks all

Nanocom can reprogram 2nd hand keys, from 6 digit chip number, Hawkeye can,t. This is a god sent for only having one key, as the main steelers charge a fortune, gets better because you can just get a rover 75 key off fleaba for a lot less than land rover prices, and fit a new blade.

Locked per model so any D2 for mine.

We have two D2's in the family, both V8's and bought the Hawkeye after watching the goings-on with Nanocom over the years.

It has been a good investment for us.

I have a hawkeye for my Freelander 1. Are they still being sold for £200+vat and if so does anyone have a link. I can't find that price on the web.
