Harnon Kandon & Parrot Kit

A search found a few similar problems to this, but not an exact match: if I missed any, sorry; if not, here goes...

My wife's 2003 facelift Disco 2 has a Harnon Kandon sound system. I have connected an 'intellimute' mute box to the ISO connections (speaker and head unit) and to the Parrot CK3100 that was in her previous car. It has an attenuator inline.

Everything is fine until a call is made and then ended - the stereo comes back on at FULL VOLUME (which is very distracting).

Any suggestions?

May be a conflict between Intellimute and Parrot systems as both can control the volume, so it could be that one has it volume set as a high in default. So back to the user manual to see what adjustments can be made.

Fixed it. The trick was to ignore the user manuals! - pulling the connectors in the mute wire apart got everything working (I am not sure how or why, but it does).
