Just thought I would give my experiences with my new Archos 5 Internet Tablet...
I bought one of these because I am flying each week so wanted to put my films on something, but it does sooo much more...
It has NDRIVE sat nav built in, and as my Tom Tom is on it's way out I decided to try the archos out... the maps cost me another £40 (Europe) and another £25 for the [ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Archos-Car-Mount-Gen7-receiver/dp/B002YGYB1C/ref=sr_1_20?ie=UTF8&qid=1286123697&sr=8-20"]car mount [/ame]- this now means I have a Sat Nav for the car. With the car mount the FM transmitter is activated on the machine, therefore it will play all my music plus the Sat Nav instructions through the radio and the sound is superb. No need for getting the head unit modified for aux in.
So for less than £300 I have a device that does European Sat Nav, transmits through the Harmon Kardon without any modifications, holds my complete music collections, hold approx 100 films (at the moment) and plays it all whilst I am driving along (I could also play a film if I am not using the Sat Nav). It may sound expensive but don't forget, I didn't buy it for the car, I use it sitting the air port etc., it was just a bonus that I do not have to fork out for a Sat Nav as well.
Don't get me wrong, the Archos uses the Andriod OS so you need to be a little savvy to get everything working, but I am well chuffed with it.
