Went to Scotland a couple of weekends ago to buy a Series 2a project which I am proper happy with anyway it's missing the demister vents that go either side of the wiper motors so I bid on a pair on eBay and they went for the best part of 160 quid, I then saw a series 2a for sale on lro for 350 quid so I texted him and it's pretty much complete but a bit rough. I ummed and arghed decided I'd buy it if for nothing else but the missing parts from mine and couldn't get in touch with the bloke so majorly gutted I guessed he must have sold it. Turns out he's visiting his mother in Wales and he won't sell it to anyone else til I've been and seen it. GET IN..... And the vent bloke has phoned to say he's got a second pair that he wants to sell for a more realistic price. Rob is proper Mr Cheery today and it's my birthday on Tuesday. What a present....

Apologies if I'm rambling but I am proper proper chuffed

Collected it a day early and just got home, it had been sat in a hedge for the last nine years and the Exmoor Trim soft top had rotted so it was binned for the journey home, anyway pics......

Bulkhead needs a fair bit of work as does the chassis but for £350 I'm pretty chuffed

can't argue with the price, doesn't look too bad, is it a v8 with those twin air intakes?
Yes mate, evidently it was out of a Range Rover many years ago, I'll have a good poke underneath tomorrow and see just how bad it is. I sold a bulkhead on ebay a couple of months ago and the bloke has never bothered to collect it so the plan is to repair it and use it on this, bit of a result really

Result! For that money you can't go Wrong and looks pretty solid from here anyway!

That's a very good deal. Filters look like its a hot rod. The panels n stuff is when the hidden value is. Good luck. Makes me want tae dae the same-have a back up scrapyard!
