handbrake problem

the handbrake on my td 90 keeps sticking on and is a right pain,i think ive sourced where the problem is but dont know how to resolve it.the handbrake cable comes into a round drum type thing and there is a spring lever on the flat face of the drum if i tap this lever up and down it frees the handbrake but if i put the handbrake on over night the problem happens again,is there something in this drum casing it to stick or what do you think it could be..ta

the drum's probably full of ****.
whip the prop off, then the drum and give it a good clean and lube all the linkages.

yer expander might need some lub specshally if you go through a lot of water

oooooh yes we likes the water....sound like its full o crap then..its going in for oil changes tues so might get them to sort it 4 me..will it happen again or can it be seled to stop it?

you could change it for a disc drake, if you've got £350 to spare!

would rather spend £350 on summit else..saving up for a lift kit..

if they stuck to the series design you could take the drum off with out the need to remove the propshaft, makes it easier to clean out. purrcats you could modify the defender drum
