Right having recently had my centre console out, I have put it back together but the handbrake on light is being a bit annoying, if you put the handbrake down in the normal fashion it releases the handbrake but doesn't turn off the light, you have to push it like literally a couple of mm and the light will go off.
Now either I have put it back together somehow wrong as the flexible handbrake cover seems to be stopping it going down that extra couple of mm or the switch is worn, I am not sure if the flexible cover needs any special attention? I took it all off as part of the rear centre console, haynes say you should undo it separately then remove, but I missed that bit, so not entirely sure.
As for the switch, it "could" be worn, they are cheap to replace but I see an electrical connector going to it, but the switches don't have anything electrical on them so does the connector literally just go onto the pin type bit on the connector?
Sorry went on a bit longer than I expected
