adjusting the cables is a pain in the arse job.

Im goin 2 try the adjuster on the back tomorrow also :)
Small tip, slacken the nut on the outside of the bracket thus leaving the one on the inside to be turned with your fingers (providing yu soaked in wd40 first) then you can pull the cable up,coz you aint got a hope in hells chance of gettin a spanner to the inside if the bracket then when you git it where you want it then you jus tighten the nut on the outside up again

The square adjuster nut is 7/16"AF an the cable adjuster is 19mm, get a 19mm combination spanner an cut it in half, then cut a slot out of the ring spanner end to fit over the inner cable an it'll make life a lot easier.

I did mine yesterday. Personaly i dont see what the fuss is about, two nuts that a 19 spanner fits on, just move them along the shaft.

I agree, there will always be some slack. On mine, with the brakes touching at first movment, it takes till the second click befor it feels like its doing anything. I guess this is streatch in the cable, or just genral taking up slack here and there.

Richard.

Had same trouble with my 90 i took the prop of and drum took out the linnings ajuster and the plungers cleaned it all up(make sure you put the plungers from the operating lever the wright way around tappered end towards the back plate),Two clicks will hold on any Cornish hill .
