Hi all,
My discovery 3 2009 has a hand brake fault showing on the dashboard. It says the auto release is not functioning however, it's working fine. I ve also noticed my reverse sensors are not picking up and my tow electric s one pin is not working out of the seven......could these be linked?

Any advice would be welcome thanks

Mark

Do you know which of the 7 pins isn't working?

Is it the earth? If they share a common earth it is possible, can you get under it and have a wriggle about with the wires?

Hi,
It's the brown wire that runs the right side trailer running lights. I will drop the spare and see about having a play about see if it resolves it.
Cheers

By watching youtube (how to use a multimeter) I found the problem. I performed a test on the brown wire . There are two cable looms that plug together hidden in the nsr tail light. The fault is on the first loom that clips into the back of the lr3 not the second loom that plugs into the bumper and trailer socket.

In regards to my auto break release fault I put the gear box in low and drove through the gears 1-6 then reverse clutch up every gear chance which has recalabrated the gear box and solved the problem.
