hi guys, new member and first time landy owner.bought because wifes vitara dissolved:( and she liked the look:cool:.me know nothing about them:confused:.

have a 1.8k series myself. cant wait to get shot of it,
not what you want to hear i know, but id say yourself the hassel, sell it on and get a diesel.
 
oooo got to agree a freelander not a great choice i have had 2 both tdi not 1.8 but even they had **** loads of problems and the 1.8 is even worse good luck buddie hope u dont have the problems i did and as i woman i thought the same about size but got a 300 tdi disco loved her and sooo easy to drive now i got a disco td5 get the mrs in one she will be fine i was lol
 
oh also look out for prop shaft , drive shaft and back diff they very common faults and had all 3 on both of mine but yes head gasket a very common one on them but dont worry too much i am sure they are not all bad
