After last weekends success in changing all the filters & oil on my Disco 2, this weekend I'm changing the front brake pads.
First job - remove wheel nut embelisher. Well one came off easy enough, the tool for pulling it off was still in the pouch with the wheel chocks etc. But the other four wouldn't budge. So how long did I waste on this before I consulted the Internet to discover only the locking nut has one!! What an idiot I felt. All sorted now though, one side has new pads the other brake should be sorted in double quick time in the morning now I know what I'm doing!
Loving my Disco, first time I've had a car that I have had the incentive/inclination to DIY for 20 years

Your not alone, I took a screw driver to some Range Rover nuts thinking I needed to take the chrome finishers off to remove the nuts as they all felt loose abit later I thought sod this I'll buy new nuts if I wreck these lol.
