gusher!!!

Hi, had an exciting time coming home from work tonight in my disco 300 tdi, the centre of the bung that fits in the thermostat housing blew out along with most of the coolant. i've been having problems with the heater working intermittantly and taking a long time to heat up, hopefully it hasn't knackered the head gasket!!! the sad bit is, the heater worked perfectly. I did post a thread last week (slow heater), thanks for all the replies. cheers, hairy.

change the plug fur the metal equivalent.

Plumb centre I think it's 3/4" or 22mm

i heard rumours it is the same as a radiator drain plug. but dont quote me on that.

Standard plumbing 'stop end' the thread is 1/4" BSP. You should get one for about a quid. Buy two, another for the top of the radiator.

Those placky plugs are dangerous!

Beg pardon sir but Oi think yule find its 1/2" BSP and yes the same as a radiator vent plug.
