I changed my HG for the secondtime the other day the car now works fine but it takes a few turns to start now sometimes more if i give it some foot it starts first tim sometimes.

Anyone know what this could be?

Thanks, Ethan

There's something not quite right about this repair.

The engine should start first time everytime, even after a full de-carbon and the extra shim in the MLS.

Ive done a couple of 1.4 k series engines and there pretty much the same to do and they where ok and first time starters but this engines being a bugger its getting a little better but not much :5bbanghead: i want it fixed so i can sell it for a diesel freelander.

if you have to give it fuel to start it , have you got all your sensors plugged in properly, or is there a manifold leak, or check the timing, it might be one tooth out, does it perform once the engine is running

It feels ok to me my dad says it feels sluggish in 4th and 5th also it seems to want to stall if your doing around 35 and pop it in 5th and theres a slight splutter at low revs.

Thanks

Cheers for the help il check them out tomorrow.

Beast o Bodmin: Your about the tenth person to say that to me now lol
