Hello to all,

Greetings from Bulgaria.

We - kido, wife, 2 dogs, Disco and me :) - "found" our Disco 2 ( 2001 Td5, P10 ) last summer. I am waiting for this beast ( ours is gray ) for several years and finnaly we have it. Transition was very interesting as our prevoius, 8 years driven car, was Fiat Punto MK1, 1994, 1.2 litre, 5 door hatch ... so it was and is somehow intriguing :).

We still have several things to be fixed:
  • master clutch cylinder;
  • passenger mirror ( right ) - we are LHD;
  • passenger door windows regulator;
  • front propeller shaft ,double cardon bearing has gone - fixed with second hand propeller shaft with all joints perfect fit :).
Few cosmetics as:
  • front / rear plastic bumpers to be replaced as they are broken;
  • front traffic lights are little cracked;
  • rear ones also;
  • several seals for windows.
And the biggest: cylinder head revision or replacement. We have one already, because of antifreeze leaking and overpressure in the system which costs us solid ammount. But repair man has done no good job and now needs to be opened again :)... car was in the repair shop for 5 months, but that is another story.

At the moment, we are driving it ( and save for next repair ) :)

Disco is great, comfortable, machine with enough extras ( for our taste :) )... We love it very much and like it twice :)...

Wish you all to have dreamed car.... we have it... just few repairs to be done, to be in very good condition :)...

P.S. I am not expirienced in DYI repairs ( have small thing done to FIat ), but I am in a process of learning the "job", as good technician is hard to find for better or worse ;).

Cheers all and Happy Holidays ( few weeks left ;) )...

Welcome. From the wet side of BG

Nice upgrade to your other transport:) enjoy.
You will always have a to do list owning a Land Rover.

Hi all,

Thank you for warm welcoming.

I am and I was aware about “always to do list” and it is somehow part of all charisma of the “owning” a LR ( it is subject if discussion who owns who, but... :) ).

DYI is something I like no matter lack of expirience ( you will never gain one if only waiting )...

So, continue with the Disco quest ;)...

Have a nice evening all.
