Well tomorrow I start my trek back to Crimea, So on Friday I will see how the black beast has faired after spending the last 9 months on the axel stands. In previous years connect the battery turn the key and away we go. Its always fingers crossed time. Just hope the compressor works or I will never get it off the stands. How I Fair I will post on Dopeys what did you do with your Rangie today and if bike teacher dave is reading this, this year I might get around to pulling the amp out and checking for the dry joint as its been 2 years in the planning so hope this winter I will get the chance to mess up the kitchen table but make the long haired colonel happy to get the radio working again and as on a previous post some years ago I cant make it any more broken.

Apologies - it was a weak attempt at some humour.

I have every confidence in LR vehicles pre 2000(ish) ....

It is a 2000 model and once stood for 14 months, battery on and went first time I have faith but the gods are fickle.

Time for the update and Faith is good. Battery connected turned the key...…...cranked for maybe 2~3 seconds and away the beast went after a minuet or 2 the suspension came up to wade height and came up off the stands, topped up the tyre pressures a gentle roll forward and back to check the brakes and all is good in the world. However after sitting this year I will have to do a bit of cosmetic work to some parts but overall one happy camper.
