A group of us are going green laning tonight meeting at stoneliegh park if any of u guys wanna join, I will be on cb channel 12 and will be in the area, or pm me on here, cheers

Hi, Im used to pay and play days but recently I've got a td5 which is a bit better than the old landy's I used on pay and play day so for now until I get a lightweight for more extreme stuff I'm looking to try green landing around rugby and Warwickshire to try and preserve my disco. Is their anything in particular I will need? I've a 1998 td5, with 3" lift, simex 35" extreme tyres, snorkel, rock sliders and recovery bumpers. But will I need cb radio or anything else that I don't know about, cheers.

Sweet, if I'm back from work I'd like to attend if that's ok? Just got to wire in my cb tonight and finish wiring up roof spots then I'm ready to go :)

I will be going out today on some lanes around stoneleigh and southam . If you want to tag along your welcome .I will be at stoneleigh showground at 11.30 at the main entrance

Oh well hunningham to ufton lanes are closed ..Roadsigns and concrete blocks and full diversion in place.

..not surprising, they were badly shredded last time I passed through - as well as some numpty 'off piste' activity having irked the farmers (understandably)

Be a while until its open I would think...

Reply form the Council

I have been forwarded your enquiry regarding the E Road from Ufton to Hunningham (E2994 Ridgeway Lane).

I would just like to confirm that we (County Highways South) have not placed a temporary traffic regulation Order on the lane. I have also spoken to the Rights of Way Team and they also have no Order on the lane in question.

If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.

Any ideas whats going on ???

Possibly the farmer then. I can go get some pics? The send them to the rwo. If its an illegal obstruction we can move it ourselves

Yes yes you can.

But the ridgeway has always been abused by the local twunts hasnt it? I dont blame the farmer.

The ROW is the defined route in a more or less straight line in the woods but there has always been off piste activity and ive even seen tracks in the farmers field!

Maybe leave the concrete there for a few weeks more and let the lane recover???

Hey, I know it's not strictly green landing but as some lanes are closed around rugby and I'm not from the area originally so I don't know the area that well for laneing do any of you also do pay and play days? As I'm looking to take my other 4x4 (not my disco 2) for a test in the upcoming couple of weeks and was wondering if anyone would like to join me or was already going somewhere that I could maybe tag along too?

im from the midlands and ive seen a few lanes blocked of with concrete blocks
the one was a ford not far from stonebridge island.
is this the way the council close lanes off
ive never been greenlaning but always wanted to but was always worried about the legalities of it all.

Hey all,

The council will put up a legal notice when a lane is closed officially. There will often be a warning notice put up a few days before they are closed. I shall check with the ROW officers tomorrow as I need to talk to them anyway. I will also give the district RWO a call (if they are still there)

I will also ask CH South how they usually close lanes when they need to.

(should say I work for WCC)

Ike
