Cooking Oil updaate as promised. Ive gone for a 50 % mix, the oile was £19 for 20 litres. Firstly got some strange looks in Tesco filling cooking oil to my Landy !!. Overall the car seems to run slightly quicker and more responsive ??? maybe its me but it sits at 65mph easily now. This morning was a slight cold start so it took longer than normal and was a bit rough for 20 seconds or so. HOWEVER Be warned it smells like a Fecking Chip Van  Ill post further updates at the end of this week.

You made any modifications to run on veg oil - upgraded the fuel filter or got any fuel pre heating? Or are you able to just throw it in the tank and everything fires up as normal? Seems to be many schools of thought on what mods need making...

Veg Oil,,, its a 300tdi so I did nothing, its clean NEW oil so ive not done anything, I will change the fuel filter at the weekend though.

Been running my 300Tdi Disco on veg/diesel mix for years .. I'd suggest when you change the fuel filter you also check the sedimentor. It can get rather full of a gel type 'stuff' ...

Only mods I've done is de-egr, de-cat, removed middle silencer, cleaned all inlet and snorkel with wider bore than usual air intake .. and last MOT at 137,000 miles was cleaner emissions and smoke test than when we got it at 55,000 miles as a bog-standard vehicle .. ;)
