Hi all

Thought that I should join up and say hello.

I am up for a bit of off road relaxation around Cambridge (within 25 Miles for the start) if it includes a stop at a pub for lunch ;).

I have been on some good tracks between Earith and Over and through some amazing sceenery.

I have also found some great tracks but they could sratch up your vehicle but are beautiful and fairly virgin lands and worth it in my opinion, it's like going back in time hundreds of years, whilst driving through a Horse Chestnut wood.

Hi and welcome. We were out that way this morning. When did you do the ones between Earith and over? Keep an eye on the Peterborough and Herts Thread on here too, they sometimes head out your way.

Edit: Oh, and Don't go alone!

hi just read post and was hopeing to find more lanes me and a few mates form peterbough go out in a little pace called glatton but u wont get a normal car down there but was intesed in meeting new poeple and finding more changing lanes

i realise the age of this thread but anyone still 'laning around cambridgeshire? the way funds are the truck might have to wait till next month for tax but i'm really interested in getting my new truck dirty :) it's a part polybushed 200tdi disco1 on road tyres so might struggle depending what the lanes are like but really up for meeting up and laning with people as it's obviously not the best idea to go alone and i'm not certain i'm reading my maps properly to find the legal lanes

Hi,

I'm based in Burwell - there are a few local lanes but just reading the maps is not enough. There is a website runs by Cambs County Council - link below or Trailwise (limited functionality for non members) that will give you a good idea of what lanes have TRO's and which can be driven. There are a lot of Cambs lanes that are TRO'd in winter....

cheers

thats one of the websites ive now got bookmarked and i've been out tonight to see if one near the b1050 at chateris is open to then possible drive it tomorrow but it has a tro and the gate is also shut so as much as that site had it marked as an open BOAT it isn't according to the signage at the lane itself.

If you can find the grids then TrailWise will probably have more up-to-date info. Cambs seems quite good with signage on the ground - other councils aren't so just because there's no sign on the lane there's no guarantee there's no TRO.

Cambs has very few lanes open in the WInter compared to Herts,Essex, Suffolk & Norfolk (well in the wintertime at least....)

i'll have to take a look at that then. unfortunately my truck is now sorn due to cash problems but it'll be taxed again latest of next month so i'll be looking for more open lanes for then
